As a permanent partner in the European Union’s Eastern Partnership initiative, the Council of Europe invited the Schools of Political Studies in the six partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) to contribute to a programme on women in public and political life by preparing a country report on the current situation in their country. This initiative reflects the will of the Council of Europe to mainstream the Schools of Political Studies into other sectors of the Organisation.
