The discussions will be led by the founders of the School of Political Studies of Moscow, Elena Nemirovskaya and Yuri Senokosov, as well as by Alexander Sogomonov, the Academic Director of the Centre for Sociological and Political Studies of the Academy of Sciences. The Forum will feature talks by well-known experts, among whom Nikolai Petrov, co-ordinator of the “Society and regional politics” of the Carnegie Centre of Moscow, Konstantin Ilkovsky, Deputy of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, Nikita Belyh, Governor of the Kirov Region, as well as an alumnus of the School, Vladimir Shabardin, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Kirov Region.
The exposition entitled “The measure of things. The Depiction of man in Viatka art, XVII-XXI centuries” will be inaugurated as part of the Forum. It constitutes one part of a broad educative project led by the Moscow School of Political Studies. Through the organisation of exhibitions of Russian art pieces (paintings, sculptures, drawings and engravings) from the Middle-Ages to our times, the project aims to present pictures of liberty and human dignity.
