Conference “A Look Beyond: Russia” will take place in Zagreb, 27-28 May 2011

Organised by the Academy for Political Development (Zagreb), this event will bring eminent speakers to discuss current socio-political and economic affairs in Russia. Together with Croatian experts, they will tackle the issue of how Russia is perceived nowaday, as well as possibilities to improve cooperation at all levels.
The conference “A Look Beyond: Russia” is the first in a series of annual conferences presenting countries playing relevant roles in global affairs. This project aims to encourage high-quality discussions on relevant current affairs outside the usual scope of interest.
Apart from the official programme, the organizers have prepared an additional programme, including a discussion on business in Russia with VERN, a debate entitled “To Russia! To Russia!” in Booksa as well as projections of documentaries from the Cinetrain project in Dokukino.
