The 5-day seminar "Sapere Aude: Freedom and Responsibility", organised by the Association of Schools of Political Studies, in collaboration with the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics and with support from the Council of Europe, the Mott Foundation and the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the Council of Europe was held in Stockholm, Sweden, on 25-29 April 2017.
Among the key topics discussed were global citizenship and global civics, human rights and the rule of law, economy and the rise of populism, post-order and post-truth, and history and modernity.
Over 80 young decision-makers from Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Montenegro, Poland, Russia and Ukraine and 25 prominent experts from Norway, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States attended the seminar, sharing their ideas and experiences on the topic.
